How the #RaatoKarMaafGar Project Came to Life
On September 7, 2020, we announced our campaign to remove period tax with the official hashtag #RaatoKarMaafGar, which directly translates to "Forgive the Red Tax". The following month, Pad2Go advocated for the removal of Value Added Tax (VAT) on period products through informative social media posts and interviews with stakeholders on Instagram Live.
On October 5, 2020, Pad2Go released the official petition for the removal of 13% VAT from all menstrual products in Nepal. Below is a timeline for our RaatoKarMaafGar campaign.
